    new date for rivenrock enduro!

The Wellington Enduro Series at returns to Rivenrock MTB Park on the 7th of February. Rivenrock is the Wairarapa's best kept MTB secret - a family-run park with a great mixture of grade 4 and 5 trails, shuttle access, and the best vibe ever.

Following the weather disruption in January, we've booked a new date of the 7th of February.

We'll have a hard and an intermediate course - multiple timed stages.

And this time, to make it easier to get up to the top of the hill, each rider will have 4 shuttle uplifts to top of the park to save your legs for the race stages.

    GETTING OUT THERE

Rivenrock MTB Park is at 217 Mt Holdsworth Road, just past Carterton, about a 90 minute drive from Wellington. We're happy to help connect people who need a ride out to Rivenrock, send us an email (events@wmtbc.org.nz) and we'll try and connect you with a ride.

THE WELLINGTON MOUNTAIN BIKE CLUB WELCOME'S THE WAINUI ENDURO BACK TO THE WELLINGTON ENDURO SERIES.

The Wainui Trail Project has gone from strength to strength over the past few years, with redevelopment of a classic grade 4 trail (with the best views over the harbour), and an amazing range of new grade 5 trails.

So we're stoked to welcome riders back to the 2026 Wainui Enduro, which will be a round of the NZ Enduro Series.

Hand-built by locals over the past 15 years, Wainui has a mixture of fast, sinuous trails set amongst regenerating native bush, amazing views over the harbour, and just the right mixture of beech roots and speed. Now including some of the new trails (weather permitting).

RACE DATE : February 22nd (course open February 21st for practice)

        THE COURSE

Course to be announced in the coming weeks. There will be two courses - a Hard Course (counts towards Wellington Enduro Series standings and NZ Enduro Series points), and an Intermediate Course, which will have a selection of easier trails.

For more information on the Wainuiomata Trails, visit Trailforks.

The "Mt Vic Break In'Duro" is coming up soon! Mark your calendar and don't miss out on the 5th edition of Wellington's favourite enduro.

Every year the Mt Vic Enduro gets bigger and better, and this year is no exception. By teaming up with the Wellington Mountain Bike Festival we're changing the game once again, and we can't wait!

Due to popular demand, we're introducing an "Easier" category. The same hill, the same format, just a little less challenging. If you've ever been on the fence about getting involved, then this is your year.

Thanks to our sponsors we once again have cash prizes for the junior categories, along with undisclosed prizes for everyone else.

The "Matairangi Trail Builders" have also generously volunteered their time behind the scenes to ensure everything goes off without a hitch ❤

Thanks to our sponsors: Lowe & Co, Shimano NZ, CJS, Maxxis, Caveo, Coffee Supreme, Jord Tattoo, and Rivenrock MTB park

        Categories: Gender Diverse, Men & Women - U10, U13, U16, U19, Open (20-40), Masters (40+) and E-Bike.

        RACE FORMAT

3-5 race stages (depending on category), + 1 non-mandatory joker stage

The stages will be a mixture of Hippy’s, V, A, TTS, Super D, Bombhole, Park Bench, Groms (or Rock Drop), and Trevors.

If you manage to take the win at the joker stage, you will be crowned the unofficial King/Queen of Matairangi.

You will have three and a half hours to complete all stages. No shuttles, no hand-ups, walking optional.

Stages can be done in any order, and may be repeated up to three times if you think you can improve your time - the fastest run will be taken. You must be back before cut-off time.

        Bonus:

At the race village there will be mini-games to keep everyone entertained between stages, while taking a break or once you've had enough. There will be prizes involved to keep things competitive.

Mini game finals, and prizegiving, will be in Alexandra park as part of the Wellington Mountain Bike Festival.

        VOLUNTEERING

If you want to help out on the day with marshalling at the event, fill out this form and you will be contacted before the event.

SERVICES ON-SITE AT THE EVENT VILLAGE

The event village will be a hive of activity, with water, toilets, mechanical support, food and coffee, first aid, tunes, and games. We'll shift the prize giving up to Alexandra Park (the soccer field on Alexandra Road), and hand-off to the Wellington MTB Festival, so there will be tons of stuff to keep us all entertained.
